Griffin Park Mailing List 2.0 ... now functioning
Thanks to [info]simbamco's help, the Griffin Park Mailing List is back on the air and ready for prime time, and better than ever. It's been sort of broken ever since the changeover to griffinparkstudio.com, but now, in addition to fixing the domain, the new software has some marked improvements over the old list:

    • A web-based interface to subscribe, unsubscribe, and change user options
    • An online archive of all entries posted from this point on.
    • The ability to handle multiple lists, so users can choose what kind of updates they receive.

Now that the mailing list is functioning, I'll be using it more to send out updates about Griffin Park Studio and its various projects. So please, check it out at http://lists.griffinparkstudio.com ... and join the lists that pertain to your interests:

    • Griffin Park General News: General news and updates -- announcements of new projects, web site updates, upcoming conventions, art and commission availability, etc. Recommended everyone join this one.
    • Buffalo Wings News: News and updates pertaining to the Buffalo Wings comics -- new issue release dates, upcoming guest artists, new merchandise, etc.
    • Serious Fitness News: News and updates concerning Serious Fitness -- new merchandise, new designs, new portfolios and artwork, etc.

I'm deciding now whether to do anything different with this LiveJournal community. I'll still post periodic updates here, of course ... but since the mailing list will be also serving that same function, there is always the option that I could throw open the griffinpark community to be more interactive, allowing members to start their own threads or post their own topics here ... but I don't know. Is that the sort of thing anyone would have interest in? Any thoughts, anyone?

Thanks ... and don't forget about the new mailing list. :)

Also a cover by Theo Bain and a foreword by Kyell Gold.

Buffalo Wings Reunion Volume One and Volume Two are also still available.

Buffalo Wings Annual 2006 Book ... and Web Site Update
Hello, folks ... hopefully this post isn't too late to catch a few people before they head off to Anthrocon this weekend.

BW Annual 2006Buffalo Wings Annual 2006 is debuting this weekend at the con. Continuing from where the story left off in Wild Life, this first volume of the Annual will bring back Stuart, Sarah, Willard, Cliff, and the rest in all-new stories, written by me and with artwork by myself, Vince Suzukawa, Brian Reynolds, and Brian Yee, plus a color cover by Theo Bain and a foreword by Kyell Gold. You can pick up the book at Sofawolf's table at Anthrocon; or if you won't be at the con, you can order it direct from their web site after this weekend.

Also, while I won't be at Anthrocon, I will be at San Diego ComicCon in July, and will have the book available there as well, at Sofawolf's table in the dealer's room.

Also, I've updated the Buffalo Wings web site to reflect the new book coming out. It's still a bit in-progress, but should have any important information you want to know about the book or the story there, for a start, at least.

Minor Web Site Update: A Few New Illos
    Hey folks,

Minor update to the website: I added a few images to the Illustration section of the Portfolio. Just a few samples from some of the freelance I've been working on ... a few designs for Unicef, a few caricatures for a client in Austria, and the First Light illustration for Anthrolations.

More news soon on Buffalo Wings and Griffin Park Studio.

Griffin Park Studio's New Domain Name!
    OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

This month, the Griffin Park Studio internet domain name is changing from griffinpark.com to griffinparkstudio.com. This will affect both the web site and my e-mail address. The change is pretty much effective right now, so you should start using the new name immediately. The old name will still work for a few weeks, but on or about May 1, 2006, the old URL will stop pointing to my web site and the old email address will stop working.

Here's what you need to know:

WEB SITE: My web site is now officially at www.griffinparkstudio.com. If you have a bookmark or favorite on your computer, please update it to the new address.

E-MAIL: If you currently have my griffinpark email address, just change the "griffinpark" to "griffinparkstudio" and it will continue to work. :)

WEB LINKS: If you have any links to Griffin Park Studio or any of its subdomains on your web site, I would appreciate if you could update them to the new URL. Generally speaking, most links should be going to one of the "official" main pages of the web site:

If you have links to any other "internal" pages on the web site, they will probably work by simply changing "griffinpark" to "griffinparkstudio" in the URL. However, I would recommend testing it in a browser before updating your link to make sure I haven't moved or reorganized those files.

Thanks for reading. I've already got a lot of the stuff on the site updated for the new URL, but I'll continue hammering away at it over the next few weeks.

Stay tuned for Buffalo Wings information soon. :)

    Upcoming Sofawolf Products
I've been keeping busy the last few months getting caught up on a lot of work and projects; this includes not one, but four projects I'm having a hand in through Sofawolf Press. All of them will hopefully be out by this summer, barring unforeseen delays of course.

There is first of all, of course, the first volume of the Buffalo Wings Annual for 2006. I'm hard at work on this one now, pulling together artwork by myself, Vince Suzukawa, Brian Reynolds, Brian Yee, and Theo Bain. Once everything is together and off to press, I'll be updating the Buffalo Wings website with more information.

I'm also doing final layout for Artistic Visions 4: The Art of RedTango, featuring the art of my friend Cynthia Petrovic, the brain behind the RedTango web site and merchandise. Her site is Flash-arrific and fun, check it out; she also lurks about LJ as [info]redtango, offering insight into life on southern California. This book will be an interesting departure from the previous three in the Artistic Visions series; check it out!

I've also done a few illustrations for Sofawolf's anthology magazines. The first three are for "First Light" by Tim Susman, to appear in Anthrolations #8; the fourth is for "The Way They Fight" by Jefferson Swycaffer, to appear in HistoriMorphs #3.

First Light First Light First Light The Way They Fight

Please, look for all these products coming out this summer! (And of course, the Serious Fitness and Serious Cowboys portfolios are still available ... feel free to order some today ... plus any of the original Serious Fitness merchandise.)
